DentView Customer Survey: Digital Self-Care Guidance Strengthens Oral Health Care Practices

The results of a recent comprehensive feedback survey are now public, highlighting the positive impacts of DentView on the daily lives of oral healthcare professionals and clients.
"I'm thrilled that DentView exists! More and more school-aged children seem to be engaging with the information it provides. This is the way of today!" – Taina
The survey received responses from 160 oral healthcare professionals from organizations where DentView is already in use. A significant finding was that nearly all (96%) of the respondents considered guidance on self-care during reception visits important. However, only 28% felt they had enough time for it. Therefore, there is a clearly demonstrated need for digital solutions like DentView.
DentView's preventive care system was widely appreciated among the respondents. 88% considered it a good way to improve the accessibility of self-care guidance, and 87% would recommend the adoption of DentView in other dental clinics in the area. This unmistakably shows that utilizing DentView in preventive care is meaningful and effective in the development of oral healthcare.
"A fantastic tool, especially when there is a strong language barrier with the client. For example, Arabic and Somali languages have been in use!" – Topi
The survey also revealed that awareness of DentView's various features varies. While most (67-68%) were aware of the Virtual Kiosk's contents, the HomeApp and Data Portal were less known (58-59%).
The most significant benefits of DentView for professionals were seen as easing the burden during busy times when there isn't enough time to provide self-care guidance personally. Patients' improved motivation for self-care was also seen as a positive impact on their work. Additionally, respondents provided valuable suggestions for improvement and praised DentView's range of languages, which has facilitated communication with clients speaking different languages.
"DentView saves a lot of work time for home care guidance, especially in orthodontic care, where the appointments are already short."
Let us also mention that we have new features coming to our software: DentViewPro and MyDentView. These new tools will enable the reception of a client's self-care status directly into the treatment room. DentViewPro will assist professionals in patient risk assessment and in delivering personalized self-care instructions. This advancement provides oral healthcare professionals with even better tools to serve clients more effectively and specifically. DentViewPro helps address the cause rather than the consequence. We get more information on why clients have oral diseases and can more specifically address problem areas.
DentView thanks all participants for their valuable feedback and looks forward to continuing the joyful cooperation with Finnish oral health professionals!
